Well, it's not that lonely with the younger brother ATV2 right next to it... Haha, at least us ATV2 people HAVE a jailbreak, but I would gladly take the untethered one on top of it. No ATV3 purchasing for me until they can figure this jailbreaking stuff.

The Apple TV 3 may never be jailbroken. It is running a slimmed down version of iOS. Because of this it doesn't have the common vulnerabilities like Safari or third party applications. The only way to jailbreak it, without Apple adding many new features, is via a bootrom exploit. No bootrom exploits for A5 CPUs has been found yet and if one is found, it may not work on the Apple TV's single core A5's bootrom. If it wasn't for the limera1n bootrom exploit the Apple TV 2 would have never been jailbroken.
