I have a CD that I use for school - it's a drug reference guide- that launches in a web browser (so I would assume it would work on any platform). It's on a little CD though, not a big one. I officially never foresaw this issue. Will it work?

Well boo. Aren't there like adaptors you can slide the little CD into that makes it normal sized? Or is there anyway I could use a computer with a tray loading drive to copy it onto a normal cd?
Or perhaps better than putting it on another CD, if you use it on your Macbook regularly consider making a .dmg out of the disc and storing it on the hard drive. You can use disk image to do this.
I remember back in the 80's when it was the fashion to bring cd singles out in the small format, they came with adaptors that allowed them to be used in tray loading players before the trays had the little depression built in for the small cd.......
So adaptors were made, but it's many years since i saw one.....
How can I do that though, if I can't get the disk in my computer? I really don't feel like going out and buying an external drive over this.
I keep hoping that Apple will adopt whatever tech is in the Wii for its slot-loading drives.
The cd drive manufacturer's quickly put them out of business by incorporating the 3 1/2 impression inside the drive itself. That's why you don't see any, cuz not many of those adapters were made, once there was the craze the hardware guys quickly put the impression (that's still a semi standard today on tray based drives) built in.
Apple's slot loads don't have that luxury, they're calibrate to grab the cd at a certain distance and can't get a grip on the 3 1/2 disks since they don't go in far enough, even if it does get a grip it'll be off aligned and probably rip the cd and the drive innards as well. Keep in mind that's worse case scenario LOL. The only exception is the Wii which was designed to pick up the 3 1/2 GC disks.
Not all slot loads are the same, but I'm 89.9% positive Apple's superdrives don't support the small disks.
Your best solution is probably just to copy it over to a regular sized CD using a computer that can handle the small CD. I think the .dmg suggestion was for after you're able to get it on your computer. If it's something you use a lot it may be easier to just have it on your computer already.
