I know the ridiculous pricing of the apple polishing cloth , but I kept on hearing people using different types of screen cleaners along with a microfiber cloth . From my experience the apple polishing cloth needs no liquids and cleans the screen perfectly with no streaks. I see many ppl on this forum dealing with micro scratches so just giving my two cents !

I just use the cloth bag that came with my €200 Oakley sunglasses. I do add a little liquid screen cleaner though, or a bit of saliva, works like a charm. I've been cleaning my 2011 MBP like this for the last 10 years, now doing the same with my M1 Air. Not a scratch on either of them. I clean my phones on my t-shirt, no screen protectors, no scratches either.

I think you'll be hard pressed to scratch any Apple screen. If you manage to, you might want to stop using actual industrial grade sand paper.

Ugh......I came so close to buying one the other day when I was in the Apple store with my son. They had 3 or 4 sitting right there on the shelf. Honest question--does it look/feel like a $19 piece of cloth when you use it? I have a feeling that it does, just based on my own experience with Apple products. Even the T-shirt I bought at the Apple campus visitors center feels like a much higher quality T-shirt than the norm.
