In quark 6.5, when I click the yellow buton on the top left the top bar to minimize the document to the dock, it just jumps down into the the dock, then jumps straight back, it is the most annoying thing (apart from the spinning beachball of death!) It only does it when there is more than one document open

Anyone have any ideas why it does this?

Thanx

Ollie

Odd.

I've seen some strange things occur with my not so favourite layout application but not that one. Just tried it now and can't replicate it although I'm running Panther at home. Are you running Tiger?

Does it do the same if you double-click the title bar?

Yeah tiger, its really good but this prob is a killer annoyance. Only happens in quark, Im gonna put it down to a wierd mac problem.

Thanx for the reply

Apple-H works OK for me in Panther. Are you also using Tiger?

Yes, I'm using Tiger. Apple-H doesn't work for me. It's OK though, bugs are to be expected with Quark...

I also have another bug:

If I highlight a paragraph (to select it) and change the tracking amount, then I try to deselect the paragraph by just clicking elsewhere on the page, but the paragraph remains highlighted (but not actually selected). I have to scroll up or down so the paragraph is out of view, and then scroll back in order to see the paragraph without highlighting.

Does Force Redraw help with this?
Apple+Option+. (period)

I have all these problems with CrapXpress 6.5 on Tiger (10.4.2)

Cant hide it at all from Quark or Tiger - really annyoing

Cant minimise it without it coming straight back up - winds me up

Highlighting type becomes a real pain in the neck when it doesnt un-highlight (if thats a word??)

The list is endless - i would love to move to indesign but will hold out for Quark Xpress 7- if thats no better then i am moving over!
