.Mac used to allow you to live instant message with support reps. It seems this has disappeared during the transition. Can anyone confirm this or point to the new url (I couldn't find it from the main mobileme support page)?

No more live chat support?

I can longer find the live chat support link either. In fact, as a panther user, I feel totally abandoned by mac support in general. The "me.com" transition has been nothing but a useless inconvenience, since MobileMe does not support Panther. BTW, my iSync continuously searches and fails to sync to the now defunct server (.mac). I needed to chat with support to determine how to deactivate futile sync attempts. But apparently, that's no longer possible. Thanks, Mac, for further abandoning users of earlier platforms.

This seems to have been readded. I have chatted twice with mobileme support in the last 2 days. It is REALLY slow though. Took about 10-15 minutes to get someone online, and then each message back and forth is quite slow to get a response as well.

I posted a thread talking about my frustration with Chat Support

It took me 2 hours to get someone today. Said I would have to wait 45 minutes (and the countdown worked though it was an hour until I got to "1 minute left") then I was on "1 minute" for another 30-45 minutes

I eventually got someone

If you work by a computer, just load it and wait

Apple really slipping in the support department

Today I called iPhone support b/c I couldn't see certain sync'd contacts there. The really weird thing was that if one of the "hidden" contacts called or left me VM - the phone would display their name which indicates the contact existed on the phone but just wasn't showing up in the list. iPhone support told me it was a mobileme issue and that I'd have to contact them but that they were already closed for the day. They cited hours of 8am-7pm EST. When I went looking for the live chat section of the support site I found this: http://www.apple.com/support/mobileme/mailchat/ which said: "MobileMe Mail Chat Support
Chat support is offered from 8am to 11pm Central Time.

Please visit MobileMe Support, select a category and topic to find answers or contact a support specialist.

Please note that chat support is available in English only."

Luckily, I went ahead and solved my own issue by just disabling contact syncing on the iPhone and then re-enabling it and *poof* all contacts now show up in the list. I'll have to do some watchful editing to see if the issue is totally gone.

I used MobileMe online chat yesterday afternoon and had a service representative, literally, IMMEDIATELY. The popup window opened, said I would have to wait about one minute, but it was all of three seconds before I was chatting with a rep. Great service, IMO.
