According to Directv's website and it states "Now you can enjoy every NFL SUNDAY TICKET™ game, every Sunday, live on your iPhone or iPod touch. The new SUPERCAST Mobile app — available FREE to all SuperFan customers — includes all the great features of the SUPERCAST computer application. So you can now enjoy live streaming video, highlights, scores and stats wherever you happen to be." App is coming soon to app store! Just another reason why the iphone is the best.
Personally I will watch games on the big screen BUT if I need to run to the store or if I am out I will just tune right in on my iphone.

Whoa!

I know this says Free to SuperFan customers, but will it also be available to purchase as a standalone app to non SuperFan customers?

This sounds so awesome, i just wish that Direct TV did not have a monopoly on showing NFL games so all fans could enjoy this app.

so i will need to have a ST SUB and also a SF SUB to use this app? or will just the ST SUB work? after SF is just to get every game in hd

Superfan also gives you the redzone channel and the 8 games at once channel. And now, the ability to stream to the iPhone.

While this would be incredibly cool, since I am only home every other Sunday, it's not $380 per year cool.

yea i know this but my question was is SF required? or will having a ST SUB be enough.

Since it specifically says Superfan, multiple times, I'm going to guess you need Superfan and Sunday Ticket alone will not suffice.

I'd pay for an iPhone-specific plan.
How much you figure, based on the price for a full signal, to be able to watch NFL games in 320 x 480?
Hundred bucks?
Hundred fifty?
I'd pay that.

Woooooooooooooo **sarcasm**

MLB provides audio for a bazillion games for $10 for ANYBODY. They add video for a few, although the quality isn't that great.

Meanwhile, the NFL apparently thinks its little subset of Sunday Ticket subscribers who are whatever this SuperFan thing is ... OK, so about 15 people are going to be eligible for this. Why must the NFL be this stupid? The blackout rules are already dumb enough, but to limit your mobile access so much is another punch in the pills. There's NO GOOD REASON the NFL can't offer a clone of the MLB app with audio for $10-15. Why it's even going to be attached to Sunday Ticket is beyond me. If you were at home using Sunday Ticket to watch a game, is there any need for the video on an iPhone?

Also this is horrible news for Sprint since they are the official telecommunications partner of the NFL. Most of their phones have the NFL Mobile Live app and you see all the commercials pushing it. Sprint is probably pissed off.

In case many of you didnt realize there were plenty of us that subscribed to the NFL ticket before they invented the iPhone. This is meant as a bonus to subscribers not a ploy to get iPhone owners to buy so get a clue.

However being a NFL ticket subscriber for 6 years now I do everything I can to be in front of my tv on Sunday so that I can always watch the games. If by some odd chance I wont be able to be there in front of the TV Im happy that I can watch on my iPhone now, it might actually encourage me to get out on Sundays with the iPhone and watch from a park or beach or lake or something.

So you need to be a Sunday Ticket subscriber to get this? If so, big fail. If I paid what it costs for Sunday Ticket, my ass is at home in my chair watching the games every Sunday. Why would I need this for my tiny iPhone? NFL should do what the MLB is doing right now with At-Bat. This offering is a joke.
