I recently built an app that lets you share your live photos as GIFs, movies, or movies without audio and I'm looking for beta testers. You'll need to be running the iOS 9.1 beta and have access to some live photos (have a 6S, 6S+, or know someone who's willing to share some live photos with you).

I'm excited to be playing around with Swift and the iOS frameworks!

Here's an example of what it makes: http://i.imgur.com/1GEHZqT.gif

Message me your email and I'll add you to the list of beta testers.

Thanks!

This sounds interesting, but can you do the reverse? Can you turn a movie or gif into a live photo?

It should be possible, based API, but I haven't tried yet. The main question I'd have to test is if live photos restrict the movie files. The one's embedded in "real" live photos are 14.998... fps and 48 frames long (~3 seconds).

I wouldn't really want to try with gifs as there are memory issues when working with them in iOS. The reduction in quality is pretty bad.
