Live photos

Does anyone think live photos work very well?
Iphone 7+ here, and I've taken lots of them, and none seem to animate well.
The only time I've seen any worth to them is when you're going through multiple pictures and the first second or so animates, but if you press on a single one, it's very jerky and not too impressive.
Am I missing something in the settings?
I like the idea, but the implementation seems to be lacking.

So while I agree its jerky most of the time. I found it brought more life to the photo on my Mac. On the phone, it is far less impressive.

I disabled it all together. Drove me insane flipping through my pictures. Also most of the time it was indeed jerky. Usually it recorded me moving away / putting away the phone from the target and onto the floor lol
