I wanted to buy this but waited for someone (you) to tell us it's working properly.
Thanks ! :D

EDIT : just bought it, it's kind of ugly...but meh, it gets the job done.

It's a cool tweak but I'm hoping that a feature is added which allows you to use this tweak with other icons like the TWC app. WeatherIcon could do it but I don't believe that has been updated.

Really looking for a tweak to redirect the stock icons. So when I click on the stock weather app or stock colander app it I open something different.

Me too. I used to use OpenOther on iOS 6 so I could have the stock calendar app on my homescreen, but have it open into WeekCal. Unfortunately, this tweak doesn't work on iOS 7.

THIS! Thank you for giving me hope! I've been meaning to do that with Fantastical 2 so that I can keep the dynamic calendar icon on my home screen. Have you tried emailing the dev?

Is this true? I would hope it would update temp as it changes without doing anything, thats the point isnt it..

The thing that worries me about that is it would kill your battery life much faster. If it always checks, updates and pulls data to keep that icon updated.
Do I always need to know 24/7 the exact outside temp whenever my phone is on and running? Or can I just click the weather app 2-3 times a day to check and that's it.
Sounds more like a gimmick and useless feature that could bring more bad than an actual useful feature to me.

So, wait. Which is the correct icon for this tweak? The one in the OP's screenshot is hideous, but the one that Auxo just posted looks nice.

No, I haven't.

On the iOS 6 jailbreak I tried many different weather widgets (both Winterboard and iWidget) which typically updated every 15-30 minutes and I never had an issue with battery life. I'm not saying it doesn't have an effect, but it wasn't enough to bother me or change my daily usage.

The one i posted was for a cloudy day, the icon is supposed to change with the weather. I will post again (if our weather ever changes here :D)

The temp on the icon this morning was correct (without me opening the app) so that is good news.

The icon is showing a background with clouds but the daytime view makes for a nicer icon. The icon is updating itself just not sure how often yet.

i downloaded ''Liveweathericon'' and its good looking, but i was affraid it would drain battery because it updates automatically and there's no settings to regulate it.

but good tweak overall.:D
