I know it’s easy to just stream these days but is there a simple way to just download everything to the phone without going artist by artist?

Two things that annoy me about music on the iPhone; no option to download all music, no way to edit music tags. I do the playlist thing, but it is a work around.

The original idea was, like an ipod, the tagging etc was already done on a computer. The device is simply a player, and not messing with the tags or files themselves. Fast forward, since most people today are simply streaming their music, I guess they never thought of having a full editing capabilities on the phone itself.

Editing capability not only will not be provided, but with streaming and the metadata editing ability/obligation on artist/producer themselves, there’s no incentive for them to offer it. Instead, user is expected to send feedback for suggestion, which most of the time, is ignored.

As such, I still purchase my own music as much as possible. At least I can edit the metadata to my liking for various purposes.

Sometimes the artist or title entries are ridiculously long with “feat”and so on, I like to clean them up for readability. It’s annoying to have to go back to my computer to fix it. I haven’t found any apps capable of editing on the device either.

Wouldn’t kill then to have a “Download all music from cloud “ option either.
