Out of the blue (but possibly related to a recent Sonoma update) emails in Mail now don't load remote content directly. I have toggled Mail > Settings > Privacy and turned off Protect Mail Activity and content loads but when I check the box it's back to blocking, even though the Block All Remote Content box is not checked. I've closed and reopened Mail, restarted my computer, run Cocktail ... but no change in it's behavior.

It functions as expected on another computer running Ventura when Protect Mail Activity is checked but Block All Remote Content is not checked.

Anyone have an explanation or a fix?

Thanks

I was able to fix by toggling off "Hide IP Address" in my Mail program's preferences.
