Just purchased a new Mac Mini and while trying to set it up I inserted a couple of discs and they do not seem to be "loading" I also noticed that the IDVD icon seems to be missing from my dock. How do I recover that and how do I down load programs (or is the term upload?)

When you insert a disc, it should mount into your desktop, double click it and it'll open.

iDVD is located in your Applications folder so simply locate it and drag it to your Dock.

Not in there

Appreciate the input, but IDVD is not in my applications file and when I checked with the Apple store they said that it might have been "lost" when I did the data transfer from my old Imac. As far as the downloads go they say that it probably is because the discs are older versions and can't be read by the intel processor. I guess all things become obsolete, but does tend to gall one that everything seems to just take "buying a new one" to solve the problem:mad:.
