I recently moved and had to change some things on my machines. I added a Buffalo PCI 802.11g card to my B&W machine running 10.3.4, and I'm connecting through a DLink 614+ to my cable modem. I have a beige 233 upstairs connecting via ethernet on 9.2. I also have a Thinkpad running XP connecting through an 802.11b card.
All machines connect to the router and to the internet fine. Samba is working fine for my Thinkpad connecting to my B&W.
Problem 1: Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the beige G3 to see any shares from my B&W the way I could with my old roommate's iMac (also was running 9.2). Appletalk is active and through ethernet, all sharing is enabled on the B&W, and I just can't even connect through the choose by entering in the afp://xxx info. Edit: OK I fixed this problem.
Problem 2: iTunes no longer find the shares between the Thinkpad and the B&W (both running 4.5). They Samba fine together and everything, there are no firewalls enabled, and iTunes is told to both share and look for shares on both machines. This was working fine when I had the B&W connected to the router via ethernet in my previous residence, but just seems to not work with the new wireless setup.
Any ideas? Please? I've been searching through all boards I can, and I just haven't found anything that has helped.
