Location-based iPad 2 3G

Does it still not work even with the public release of ios 5?? Because I heard that locations only works with 3G iPads. But even so, I still don't have locations on my reminders

Unfortunately, location-based reminders are not available on the iPad 2. Only the iPhone 4 and 4s. I hope this is only temporary and a fix is released in the next update.
