Hi,
I wrote this message to send to apple support.
But I found out now they don't provide any sort of personal support in this region - how nice of them.
So I was hoping someone here might be able to help.

Hi.
I have noticed that the location based reminders seem to use only the physical addresses from the contacts to find the location and set a "geo-fence"
I have struggled tremendously however to get the location to be recognized correctly. When I click on the address in the contacts app it shows me a map of where the location supposedly is.
I have attached screenshots of the locations displayed for both my home and office. Strangely enough the pin shows in exactly the same place on the map for addresses even though they are about 10km apart.
I have attached screenshots of the addresses and the locations displayed on the maps.
My home address should be where the blue dot is, and my work address should be where the n of the "n17" label just below the pin is.
I would like to know how I can "fix" these addresses - or add gps coordinates in order to get an accurate location for the geo-fence.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Steven

Ps. Many addresses don't reveal a result at all. - in these cases coordinates would be an ideal workaround. - also pictured in attachment "cannot determine location"

I know I should really put private info online. but I doubt any of you are psychopaths or stalkers in my area, and if you were, you would probably know I am a very boring person.

Me too

I have the same problem. Every address I type in for Pretoria automatically links to the suburb Arcadia. I also looked on a friend's phone who has not updated to IOS5 and his addresses still works so it seems like a IOS5 issue.

In an attempt to test and see if the GPS coordinates can work I dropped a pin and shared the location to my email. From my email I copied and pasted the coordinates into the address for my house and that failed too. Arcadia again...

We are always getting screwed by Apple in South Africa. We can't buy good games on the App Store. Games centre does not have South Africa listed when setting up an account and now the map address fail.
