Is there any way to set geo-reminders without having a contact for a particular place? For instance, if I want it to remind me to get eggs when I get to the grocery store, do I have to have a contact for Farm Fresh?

I love the idea of geo-reminders, but that seems a bit clumsy.

At the moment, you can only set it to places that are on your contacts.

But my work-around has been to add places I frequent to my contacts list (like Target, the grocery store etc...) and then on my Mac's Address Book application, I have created Groups (I'm sure you can do this from iCloud.com).

Home
Work
Locations/Places
Other...

So all of the locations I have added I send to my Locations Group, and I never have to see them, but they are available when I create a Location Based Reminder.

Though I agree with you that it would be nice to just type in an address without having to do this work-around.

Leave feedback on Apples website. Integration with Maps would be very nice.

I'm sure that's coming. Recall that Apple bought a mapping company a while back. I can see them not wanting to use Google in Siri.
