Guess that includes spotlight...Seriously do I need them enabled if my iMac is hard wired in? Isn't that more for wifi? If I disable them will I be disabling anything I need to make it run right?
Also in activity monitor..I checked it out (because I could) highlighted in red it said com.apple.god not responding..is there anything I should do with that? I have gotten the beach ball from time to time don't know whats causing that, this mac is 6 months old and only happens in safari. firefox, opera and chrome I don't get it.

Location services it not just for wifi. It is so your computer knows where it is to automatically grab things like the weather without you having to specify a location. It really does no harm leaving it on.

That geod process is crashing for me too in Yosemite. I thin it is just a bug. It seems to restart itself after a while.
