My iPhone 5 warranty is expired so I wouldn't replace the lock button but set a 'triple-tap home button' activator action to lock the screen.
Also have reboot in control center.

Only downside is that I cannot screen cap and if the phone freezes it's difficult to reboot.

And no DFU mode.

i ended up not taking it in. didn't want to deal with the hassle of driving an hour and a half to an apple store, and then having to rejailbreak and everything. the button works fine if i press the side closest the middle of the phone, so i just use it like that, ad after a week, i don't even notice it unless i purposely press the other side.
