Okay so basically, i dont actually have an iphone yet but getting one really soon and i was thinking that we all have stuff that need not to be seen by other people for when or if they browse your iphone. Therefore a simple but mindblowing idea is like put a lock code on but have 2 settings that match 2 codes. So you gotta know them both when someone wants to access your iphone, and you put your real when when you want to access all of your phone and you put your secondary code in to put it in a hidden mode so theperson using cannot see personal items and also wont know that it is in that state.
Let me know what you think. :)

1) I think your font/bold text hurts my eyes
2) Your grammar is, like, atrocious.
3) You have a lock code to lock your phone. Beyond that if you let someone browse on your phone without supervision, you deserve to have personal information seen. For private passwords - 1Password is all I need.
4) Write the app you're proposing and we'll try it out.

1. I didnt register on to macrumors to be criticised on my grammar and how it supposedly 'hurts' your eyes on the fact that i used bold writing...

And this idea is mainly for teens who have the iphone and has friends who want to use it or browse it for the experience or use it in general. If your trying to hide something say texts, images, videos, applications, there should be a way to hide without it seeming obvious. SO my idea was when the phone is LOCKED and another person wants to use it, you input a secondary code which hides the important information that you want hidden which you can organise beforehand.

I agree that it would be nice to have a mode where a friend could use the cell phone, browse on Safari, use the iPod, and maybe use a subset of your Apps without having full access to all of the data stored on the phone. It would be sort of like the equivalent of a "Guest" user account.

There are apps that allow you to have "private" data on your iPhone. For photos, check out Picture Safe.
