Why is it useless? Is the notification useless for someone who gets their notifications on the lock screen on all apps?
You asked if it's useless, so I'm asking why do you think it would be useless, to understand the question better. (And are we talking about a particular notification?)Who said it was useless? I asked question.

It depends on how you want to be notified about. Mainly lock screen notifications are there so you would get notified when you aren't using your phone, so you would hear/feel the notification. It's also there so you could quickly see what the notification is without unlocking the phone and bringing down Notification Center. And you can quickly take some action on a notification or reply to it without unlocking if you want to. So just depends on your use cases basically and your approach to it all.Could have been worded better. But ok. I’m asking if it’s useless in any way. Would you say it’s useless if you put all your notifications to show on the lock-screen? Wouldn’t you just have to reply if you had to on the lock-screen? Or if not, would it go to the Notification Center? If so, then for that person, I’m assuming it would be useful.

Some apps allow for quick replies that don't require unlocking, others at least allow for some actions to be taken on a notification (like marking something as read or even deleting it, beyond just clearing the notification). As I recall if you do a quick reply or take an action then the notification gets cleared.Good post. I was under the assumption that you could not reply to a notification unless it’s unlocked. You don’t have to go to the home screen but you have to unlock it first. I could be wrong.
Question, if you reply on the lock-screen, will it erase from the Notification Center? If you happen to know.
