In todays world of tablets, smartphones and phablets, the lock screen is probably one of the single most viewed elements of any device. Recently with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Google added the ability to have widgets on your lock screen which brought the usefulness and importance of the lock screen to a new level. One thing that has been oddly left out of the Android feature list is the ability to view notifications on your screen. However thanks to XDA member Roymam theres an app for that.
Lock Screen Notifications Widget was recently featured on the XDA Developers website and for good reason. This app allows for notifications to be seen and handled from the lock screen itself. Note that this app is intended for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean devices but has also been reported to work on several devices lower than 4.2 with the use of WidgetLocker which can be found in the Google Play store for $2.99. But could be great with some tweaking. I don't see why they just took it directly and kept the date and button with it.
