Lock screen notifications

Just updated to PB 3 yesterday on my iPhone 6S Plus.
I like it so far but having an issue that is probably a setting I am missing.

The lock screen notifications no longer wake up the screen and display.
I have to pick up the phone to see them.

I have it standing upright, charging and the screen never turns on anymore.

Am I missing something?

You don't happen to have DND on, do you?

Nope, but the behavior is the same.
Usually my watch pops up with an email, my phone will follow in a few seconds.

Not sure what happened but this is working now.
