do the lock sounds on anyone else's iphone go away after a period of time? i'm talking about both the sleep/wake button (when u PUT it into sleep mode) and when u slide to unlock the phone. sometimes only 1 will work and sometimes neither work. just annoying, that's all.

and yes, i've made sure that it wasn't on vibrate and the setting under "sounds" is enabled. i've actually turned it off then back on and SOMETIMES the sleep/wake sound comes back but never the unlock sound.

I found this after updating to 2.01 and also 2.02. I had to perform a full reload of my iPhone to correct this issue along with a real slowdown overall. That problem is now corrected.

I notice that the unlocking sound doesn't happen when I have the ringer switch in the OFF position. When I turn the ringer back on, I can hear the unlock sound after sliding the button.

Once the sound disappeared even after turning the ringer back on. Eventually it corrected itself, probably after doing one of the many reboots I do daily when Safari starts crashing every 2 minutes.
