I just purchased a used Ipad Pro and have managed to lock myself out. I set it up and transferred data from my old Ipad and all went well until I went to the notification to finish setting it up. It asked for me to set up a passcode which I did using a four digit code. It seemed to hang up a bit at this point so I hit cancel and now it asks for a passcode but rejects the one I enter which is correct. I searched for solutions online but they all involve Itunes. When I plug the ipad into my computer Itunes doesn't see it. I also went into Icloud and thought i could erase the ipad and start over but as it is locked the wifi isn't working so that isn't an option. Any help here figuring this out would be appreciated.

I went to the Apple support page to see how to restore the ipad to factory settings and followed the instructions but so far, this hasn't worked. I connected the ipad to Itunes and it began downloading a software update to the ipad. After 15 minutes it stopped like the support page said it would. I restarted it following their instructions, multiple times with no luck. Is there a way to see any progress on the download, or even if it is working? Any ideas on how long it should take?
If this doesn't eventually solve my problem, can I just walk in to an Apple store and get them to reset it?

Thanks. I managed to get it figured out. It took forever but I was finally able to wipe the iPad clean and start over. I still don’t know exactly how I managed to lock myself out, but now I know how to fix it if it happens again.
