I am unable to reply to messages when they show up on my locked screen. When I press on the message it tells me to unlock. I was under the impression that I could answer messages right from the locked screen. Is this true and is anyone else having this issue?

Bit of a bone of contention that one :) Out of interest it is an iPhone or iPad? What options do you have enabled under Security and Privacy -> Allow access when locked?

It is an iPhone and I am not sure what option you are referring to in reference to security and Privacy.

Ugh. Sorry, did that from memory and got it very wrong. I meant Touch ID and Passcode -> Allow Access when locked

Yes I did have it set to allow for access when locked. I changed the setting under notifications for message for it to show preview and now it allows me to reply on the lock screen.

Yep, show preview was the other setting I was going to suggest.Glad you got it working :D

I promise I am not trolling. I just want to comment. I personally don't like that feature. It has always been a feature to reply to a message from the lock screen when you have preview turned on and allowing it access. To me, it just causes to much of a concern for people to see my messages with my phone being unlocked...especially with the new rich notification, it just makes it that much more scary that they can see a few texts back. But that's just me. I don't mind taping the home button really fast before I reply. Touch ID 2.0 is awesome!

It doesn't sound like trolling and I agree 100%. I think it should be included in the requirement to authenticate on the new notification screen too. At the very least there should be a separate setting, "Reply from lock screen" and "Reply from lock screen without authentication".
