Where the Air Force sends me
I recently installed lockinfo and have not been receiving push notifications sense. I removed it and rebooted...still my beejive and facebook tell me "connect to itunes to use push notifications"

Are there any other know causes for push to get jacked up? I don't have autosilent installed (read that may cause problems)

thanks for the help in advance

Did you figure anything out? I don't seem to be getting push notifications either, and I do have LockInfo installed.

Do you have notifications turned on in the Lockinfo settings? Do you have "block popups enabled in Lockinfo settings? You probably need to play with that until you get it right. I get notifications on Lockinfo when my lockscreen is in place, and when on my home screen I get the regular notification popups.

Everything looks right, maybe I just haven't got any yet, I only had Push Notifications enabled in one or two apps, maybe I just haven't got any yet. I get the notifications for text messages. Strange thing too though is that the Todo doesn't show my todo's from Appigo ToDo app anymore, even though it used to.

Thanks for the help.

I removed LockInfo, but I still don't get Push notifications from apps. Anything else that would keep me from getting them?

It's not lockinfo. I have this installed on two iPhones and I always get my notifications. I Once had this problem way before I installed lockinfo and fixed it by restoring my phone as a new phone.

The problem was because I restored from an old backup that contained app data from old apps before they had notifications enabled when the phone now has those apps with notifications built in. Restoring from old backups can get you in trouble.

The phone is properly activated with AT&T. It could be from restoring it from an old backup, but even new apps aren't getting Push notifications. If it has to do with old app data, that would only effect that app right?

Yes, but I would still try and restore as a new phone. Like I said, this was the only way I fixed this same exact problem. Restore as new and I guarantee all your problems will be gone.

Not necessarily. Restoring from backups can cause all kinds of problems you wouldn't think it would. I always suggest setting up as a new phone. But then, I rarely text and wouldn't care about losing old text messages.

OK, I will try that when I have time. I just got the phone looking just how I want it to, but oh well. And it's not really text messages I don't want to lose, but several apps that I have info saved in that I don't have a way to backup. The main one is GasHog, I have one or two entries a week since Sep 08 that I don't know of a way to restore withut just entering everything again. I guessd it would allow me to switch to a program with a better backup and restore feature. Or I am new to SSH, but I should be able to backup the GasHog info that way.

I removed LockInfo, not for Push, but because I wanted to check out AndroidLock and it covered it up anyway. I was going to do a restore over the weekend to try and fix my issues with Push notifications. Anyway, since removing Lockinfo I am getting Push Notifications without having to do a restore.

Check out RoadTrip. Covers trips, gas, expenses and you can export and import ALL the data, so when I have to restore, I export, then restore, then import. $5 I think I paid and it's one of the best I ever bought.

I'd like to switch, but don't want to reenter all the data I have. I can export, but have no way to import it. It exports like this:

Date Odometer Distance Fuel Added Cost Economy Notes
Feb 12, 2010 277354 308 14.348 $36.00 21.5
Feb 4, 2010 277046 217 9.545 $25.00 22.7
Jan 29, 2010 276829 310 15.389 $40.00 20.1
Jan 18, 2010 276519 328 13.905 $36.00 23.6
Jan 9, 2010 276191 338 14.291 $39.00 23.7
Jan 3, 2010 275853 332 15.005 $39.00 22.1

Any way I could use that data to import it to some other app?

Formatted that way, I doubt it. Will it export to csv ?

I have lost my data before due to a crash. I just went back about a month and started over from then until now. After all, what good does 6 month or year old data really do other than make you feel good ?

Any database based app that doesn't allow export and re-import isn't worth squat in my humble opinion.

Yeah, I guess your right. Maybe I'll check out Roadtrip and just start over with this years data. Thanks for the help.

I just installed Road Trip. I do like the features, especially the backup/restore. Thanks for the suggestion. I started entering my latest fill ups, but the graph didn't look good with only a few entries. I ended up entering all the data I had, back to September 08:D. It didn't take too long.

Glad you liked it ! :D
