Locking apps with Face ID

Are there any plans to introduce a feature so that certain apps require Face ID to open?

I’ve looked online and there are a few workarounds, but they all seem less than ideal.

Good question. I always wondered this too.

So far at least implementing this functionality has been up to each app's developer. If the developer deems their app to require / benefit from a PIN lock, they tend to also implement biometric unlocking (TouchID / FaceID).

At the very least you can contact the developer and let them know that locking functionality would be appreciated.
