Locking Desktop Folder Positions: How ?

Hello,

Finally, finally have all my Folders arranged on the
desktop the way I want them.

For some reason, last night, they became all "randomized".

Is there any way I can "lock" the present orientation/position of them such
that it takes an extra selection, somewhere (System Settings ?), to allow them to be changed ?
