Lockscreen delay?

Anyone experiencing this issue? Tried on a 13PM and normal 13, both have the same issue. IOS 15.1 and 15.2

I see no difference.. why would turning tap to wake on/pff change how the phone behaves when using the sleep/wake button on the side?

Are you using Apple Pay? The delay is normal, your phone is waiting if you double click the power button to open the wallet. Try turning off the double click option in your Wallet & Apple Pay settings and try again. The delay will be gone.
