that worked for you? doesn't seem to work here (i'd also like the passcode dots white...)

not exactly.

ive had this glitch since the first release of e6 and hoped the issue would go away upon upgrading.

it perdured so i thought it might have to do with a conflict with other themes - jelly lock, widgets, lockinfo whatever.

in any case i was prepared to work around it by making them dots white... but when Sital mentionned the file (which is related to the background) and i found it in the e6 theme a lightbulb lit in my head and i dragged the e6 theme all the way up in winterboard (i had e6_slate) there.

and voila:

i still think the white dots would have looked cool possiby even better but this is the second best - and easiest - solution. i can live with this.

glad that works for you LOL; my research suggests it's NOT changeable, that it's related to the font (as opposed to being a .png).

so it goes... :(

you'd have to have a font with white dots...and black lettering (for everything else)...or so i suspect. will live with the black dots...

The reason I thought my suggestion might work is that I saw a LS theme (Transparent LS) with transparent dots and it looked like they had accomplished that by editing that file. I never actually used that theme or delved into it deeper though. Sorry for the misinformation.

all good, it's always worth TRYING something (better than just blankly accepting defeat!)

will check out transparent LS, see what they did...
