From what I can tell, it looks like the menu only appears when you first start up Sonoma after turning it on. If your screensaver kick in, it doesn't appear in the upper right corner next to wifi icon as the power icon until you click it and the menu appears.. Can anyone confirms this? I liked it better the old way always appearing on the bottom of lock screen. Thanks in advance.

Yes for me as well! And this has caused issues with my Apple Watch, when it tries to unlock my Mac mini, my Mac freezes completely at the Lock Screen with a spinning circle like it's trying to log in, but then nothing and eventually back to the Screensaver again. At that point I'm unable to reboot remotely via Terminal, and the Restart and Log Out options are totally gone. Not sure if that's a change by design...

Apple needs to make it available all the time when the lock screen is enabled like in prior macOS operating systems like before. the beta people need to tell Apple this.
