After installing a number of apps onto my new NVMe SSD, I rebooted and, surprisingly, I looked into my user account without entering my passcode. Not sure how or why that happened but it is a bit disconcerting were someone else able to do that.

Go to the users & groups pref pane

Click the lock and enter your password

Now click on your account, then click "login options" below

The top item is "Automatic login".

What does it say?

I’ll have to test that when I get home tonight. What I found really strange is, when disconnecting the battery and after installing my NVMe SSD, I buttoned up the bottom and then opened up the display. It was already booted up! Now that was strange.
