I was using Apple music A LOT and noticed that my free space had slowly been decreasing without me doing anything or downloading new apps, etc. I guess streaming from Apple Music still takes up space. So if you use Apple music quite a lot and notice your space is disappearing, just go to Settings and log out of the app store and itunes. As soon as I did that I had 3 more GB of free space. I logged back in and I still had the space. I had no clue streaming music from Apple took up so much space on the OS.

Or you could just go into Settings/General/Usage/Manage Storage/Music and delete albums, songs, or your entire library there. :p

Same behavior in Spotify, which however don't have the button insstudent mentioned.
My gf has the 16GB version and by only using music streaming services and a couple of apps the device is pretty much filled. :(

I'm not referring to music downloaded and available offline. I actually don't have any songs downloaded onto my phone, all I do is stream from Apple music and iCloud library.

Yeah. It did that because it think you'll keep listening to the same old music everyday, so it'll be faster to play from cache and save some data.

My bad, I just tried what you suggested earlier and it actually cleared nearly 2GB on my iPhone. Pretty awesome as I have a 16GB one.
