I have a mid 2014 retnina MBP. Have a lower housing issue. Computer dropped on the Mag Safe charging port and bent the aluminum. Have replacement parts. Both the new mag charging port and the Lower housing. ONE problem. it seems as if a small black connection port broke and came off the logic board. NO CLUE what its called and or how to repair that.

Looking at the guides on the iFixit web site for your model, it looks like the speaker connector.

Look at Step 23 in the following guide:

https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBoo...isplay+Mid+2014+Logic+Board+Replacement/27662

Identifying it is one thing, finding a replacement part and soldering it to the logic board is something else entirely. If I have identified it correctly then it is not a system critical part and should not stop the Mac from booting, if you can live with one speaker.

You might be able to re-attach the connector to board yourself if you know how to micro solder, as it looks like you still have it attached to the speaker cable.

FWIW, that type of damage is often seen when the cable is pulled across the board instead of lifted up out of the connector ... those speaker cables are one of that type. It ends up pulling the whole connector right off the board. They are supposed to be lifted up out of the connector. Likewise for connectors where the cables should be slid out of the connector as opposed to lifted up.

Gotta be careful and figure out which kind of connector you’re working with before cables start getting pulled out or lifted up.

well you are definitely correct it was the left speaker. I can live with out it. Computer is back up and running minus the little left guy. Thanks for you help guys. And so very correct about lifting rather than pulling. Slip of hand.
