Hey -- my macbook pro stopped turning on only after about four years of use - it's the model that released just before the first unibody model. I'm looking at the mac mini to replace it. I'm going to use the computer almost everyday for working in my studio -- will a mac mini handle Logic Pro? My macbook pro would overload occasionally, but I'm hoping the 2.3GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 is a better CPU.
If I want to throw this thing under my HDTV, should I go with the $799 model? I have a 47 inch 1080p HDTV. I have a PS3 and a Xbox 360, so I don't really need to put it under the TV for netflix, just want to keep that as an option to stream Amazon movies/video.
I might also do small amounts of video editing.
Thanks!
