i just turned on my powerbook and when i get to the login bit where you type type your password it starts to automatically and continuously type itself. it doesnt matter what i do it wont stop and so its impossible to sign in. i thought maybe one of the keys is stuck but i pressed every key on the keyboard and nothing stops it.

its lucky i got my new macbook on monday and transferred everything to it and was only restarting it so i could start to clean install process ready for sale on ebay.

anyway, i still want to know whats going on because i have to sell the powerbook and i dont want to sell it if this is more than a software glitch.

anyone have an experience like this?

thanks

I'm almost certain this is a software glitch. If you're selling the PowerBook, then boot from the OSX discs and reformat the drive before reinstalling the OS. :)
