Logitech 9.7 keyboard: battery drain

does the keyboard drain lots of battery? Or not at all since it is smart connector?

I don't have anything other than anecdotal evidence, but in my experience it drains a lot less power than a bluetooth device. I do notice my battery going down a little quicker but it's not much.
