Logitech Bluetooth adapter and other devices

I just got the Logitech Bluetooth adapter for my speakers, which works great, but its connectivity is really aggressive. For example, if I turn on my Bluetooth headphones, they'll briefly connect and then disconnect a few seconds later, leaving only the adapter connected. Similarly, if I try to manually disconnect the adapter, it automatically reconnects.

Is there anything I can do to allow multiple Bluetooth audio devices to connect simultaneously or give priority to certain devices?
