Logitech CREATE vs Slim Combo

I currently have the 12.9 inch pro and Logitech create case. I love its durability but it does at quite a bit of bulk. I use it only my lap a quite a bit no problem and can't tell from the videos if the slim combo case would provide the same stablitlity. Thoughts welcomed.
