I have it...used it for a bit with my mac mini home theater setup...it's not bad, nice to look at, but a little cumbersome to use...I barely touch it now...just use the apple remote
For the price of it, if you are going to be using it for HT 90% of the time, you could just get a Harmony remote. That's what I use for my mini's (though I always have a laptop handy anyway). If you use Plex, there is a Plex setting in the Harmony remote system.
I respectively disagree with all of the other comments. The Dinovo Mini is incredible and in my opinion perfect for using Plex on the Mac Mini.
It took a bit of tweaking using ControllerMate to remap the keys, but nothing too difficult. I was able to buy one used through an Amazon merchant for $85 shipped.

None of us are saying that it doesn't (or won't) work. I have a DiNovo mini that I use for my mac pro (which also runs Plex sometimes), and it works fine. Of course, the mac pro has no IR rcvr. So it was the logical choice for a mobile controller.
In the case of the mini, which has an IR port, and given the degree to which adding more 'remotes' is unnecessary/unwanted for most people's living rooms, having a remote that can do that which needs to be done for all the components being used is preferable to having multiple 'remotes,' (as the DiNovo mini would just be one big remote really) no?
Heck, if I used the BEST remote for each individual component of my HT, I'd have 8 remote controls. Why not consolidate?
