Logitech Dual Action controller used for Steam games?

I have one that's made in 2003. Have any of you tried using it or any similar controllers for games like Left 4 Dead 2 on the Mac? How did you get it to work?

Support for gamepads is up to individual games, nothing to do with Steam. Left 4 Dead 2 has a gamepad option, but I haven't tried it, since frankly there's no point. You would use one for games like Psychonauts, where it works well, not first-person shooters.

it does work with dead space. but that is the only one i really tried it with. and i have to say you should only play dead space with a controller because the port to pc sucks control wise.
