Well, this guy certainly shares my thoughts:

http://iphone.mobilitysite.com/tag/logitech/

I would love to ditch my harmony 550 for something like this. $50 for the app and $50 for each Bluetooth to IR box. The only question I have is related to blutooth devices; can the iPhone be paired with a headset and the remote box? I have a vtech home phone that I link my iPhone to so I can answer my iPhone from my home phone.

Logitech finally came through for PS3 owners, why not iPhone owners? I would say no add ons, but Bluetooth to IR is good for me.

Thoughts?

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

I'd buy it. One more justification for owning the iPhone. I really like my Harmony remote but if I can get the iPhone to do everything that it does I'd go for it. I do think that $50 for the app would be a little steep though but I'd probably save my pennies and buy it.

Only semi related, since you want to control something other then a computer...

I have snatch remote app is its pretty damn great, but the main issue with it and would be the same with the harmony remote app is that you can not feel the buttons and needing to look at your remote to use it sucks.

Still use Snatch all the time!

I like the idea but I've quickly learned that using remote apps and then needing my phone poses as a problem.
