Hi Everyone,

I have just recently bought the Logi MX Keys keyboard as I need one that I can shuffle between computers so I can us on my work laptop too.

The issue comes when trying to restart the iMac on Windows via bootcamp. Even if I hold the opt|start key, it will not go into the bootcamp launcher.

I looked around and saw some people recommending to use the unifier receiver that come with the keyboard. I have set everything up with it, and it is still not working. I tried many times and different ways and nothing

Can someone please give me a hand?

I have a 2019 iMac 27" with Big Sur

Thanks

It may simply not support that keyboard in system firmware. Your best bet is to use the keyboard that came with the Mac, or a simple USB keyboard that works with Macs (has the option key).

The only things I can think of are that it may be mapped to a different key on that keyboard, or that you may have kept the MX Keys in Bluetooth mode but it needs to be in Logitech receiver mode. To check that you could try unpairing it from Bluetooth entirely and just purely using the receiver it should work on the OS. But it may still not work on the system firmware.

Keep in mind you can use the Bootcamp control panel to choose what OS to boot which may be the easier way to control it.

Hi,

I have the keyboard with the receiver and I have tried different keys. It is a case where I think it might not be suported, but I was wondering if someone here might have it and made it work.

I can start bootcamp with no issues with my Mac keyboard, but having it around just for that would defeat the purpose of having the MX keys which is just having 1 keyboard that can work with both my computers and my wife's. That's the main reason for having the MX Keys, but also it is nice to type in.

Is this the correct subform to put this in? maybe I could get more help in some other?

Cheers,
