Does anyone have any experience with or knot if the Performance Mouse MX or Logitech Control Center (pre Options era) are compatible with M1 Macs?

I recently upgraded from intel to silicon on my macbook and now my mouse dont work no good, and cant assign anything outside of basic mouse functionality

Edit: I've given up searching for an answer. Logitech support says to use Options, but Options isn't supported, so it's an endless loop. I did find a free app for mac called SteerMouse which replicates all functionality of LCC.

Do a search here. Lots of posts & threads about this, actually. Apparently there's several issues.

G-Hub and the Yeti X microphones aren't compatible with M1. They are working on an update. Not sure if that extends to more products that use G-Hub, but I can configure my Logitech Brio cam with G-Hub without problems. The microphone though is a different story. It "warps time" and repeats itself.

As the OP discovered, "SteerMouse" could be the solution.

Also worth considering is a similar mouse control utility called "USB Overdrive" ...

Logitech should buy SteerMouse, then they could make an extra $20 on each mouse they sell.

Or maybe they already do own SteerMouse.

(I'm joking)

Just today I downloaded and installed the latest edition of Logitech G Hub. Now it runs my video camera and my Logitech mouse without problems. Steermouse is a great program, but it won't let me control de colors the LCD in my L-Mouse. Also have a Razer RGB mouse pad running under Razer Mac OS without hitches.

I am using the exact same mouse - Performance MX. I tried to switch to MX Master 3, but the palm "hump" turned me off. Well, long story short, I have a huge supply of Performance MX Mice that will last me a decade.

Only thing missing is the continuing support from Logitech. They promised to support this mouse in Logitech Options, planning to phase out LCC even though they dialed that plan back and LCC sort of works on Big Sur. But LCC is old, and its age shows. It is not Apple Silicon native, nor are there any plans to update it. Logitech Options still doesn't support Performance MX. I am tired of opening tickets with Logitech, only to be told after many escalations - "Support for Performance MX in Logi Options is planned".

Enter Steermouse. It is $20, but it is M1 ready, and now Monterey ready as well. It allowed me to customize to an extent that the crappy LCC never did. From button assignment to sensitivity, precise acceleration etc. It is the easiest $20 I have spent in a while.

I have a Logitech Performance MX which is unusable on my M1 MBA. Is there any solution?

Have you tried SteerMouse?
Have you tried USB Overdrive?

If you are trying to connect via bluetooth, and that's not working, have you tried plugging the unifying receiver into one of these?

I have just installed SteerMouse, wow it works, I can use my Logitech Performance MX mouse now!

But miffed that MacOS 'it just works' doesn't and we users have to pay $20 to make a damn mouse work.

Has anyone tried Logi Options since its last update? It was recently updated, and apparently now supports Performance MX.

When did the update release? When I first used Logi Options on my M1 Mac mini, I experienced the ability to scroll on my Mx Master 3 and had to kill the Logi Options program for it to function again. I haven't experienced that issue in about a month now.

For my Logitech Performance MX on M1 MacBook Air neither SteerMouse or USB Overdrive work. It's hit and miss whether moving the mouse will actually move the cursor, to the point of being completely useless.

A few months later, I try now to use a Logitech M330 via the unifying receiver on an M1 MacBook Air, using the latest drivers from Logitech. Still useless! You would think this type of basic functionality would be working by now.

Do no employees in either company use a Logitech mouse with an M1 MacBook?
