I heard (good ol google :) ) that the above mentioned camera is Mac compatible so I went out and bought one.

First off I plug it into my iBook and it doesn't recognize anything. OK, so I went to this site http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/US/EN,CRID=322,contentid=6024,OSID=9

and downloaded the dmg and installed the package and rebooted. Still nothing.

Is there some startup program I need to run? why doessn't it even recognize the camera? and if it actually does recognize it, what program do I use to test it?

Thanks! :)

You can use Yahoo Messenger or Quicktime Pro to test the camera. I am currently using one. It's compatible, but not compatible with iChat without any hack.

I am waiting for the Skype Video to arrive on Mac.

You might want to check this http://www.ecamm.com/mac/ichatusbcam/
This will do the trick...i would suggest to try out the software first.
There is also a list of supported web cams.

cool, thanks for the info. :)

I did however also buy the iSight (maaaaajor mistake :p ) and love it so much that I don't want to return it.... No hassles and I'm trying to convince myself it's worth the extra $$$$ :D
