Hey, as a complete AV geek with a great setup, I'm gradually dragging my family into the 21st century with theirs!
Although the entire family now have iPhones, iPads and iPods (and have enjoyed the Phillips dock we can all use in the kitchen), I want to bin our entire collection of CDs!
I have 110Gb of music shared via iTunes on my permanently-on and hardwired iMac; and they have a Dell desktop that is similarly hardwired.
I want to buy a good music streamer that can access both our music collections and play them in good sound quality, which is also easy to use (for under £200 ideally); I'll then rip and bin all our CDs.
Does the Squeezebox fulfill these criteria? Can it connect to my iTunes homeshare, or do I have to run the Logitech software constantly on both machines too?
In the UK, for the record!
Cheers, Alex
