Has anyone tried Logitech's new free Touch Mouse app?

I downloaded the iTouch Server app on my mini running OX 10.4.11, but it won't launch. It acts like it is (icon flies towards me), but it doesn't actually launch.

Anyone have any ideas?

There's pretty much zero support for this product right now from Logitech so I thought I would try you fine people. :)

For the record it works like a charm on my MacBook running 10.5.8

Thanks!

If I had a guess, I'd say you need to upgrade from Tiger. It probably requires at least Leopard to run on your Mini.

Have you considered Air Mouse? Works like a charm with a ton of features.

There is not an app that actually loads. After you install on your computer and iphone, make sure that the iphone and the computer are connected to the same wifi. Then click on the file to open on your computer. It will not actually open a visible file. Then click on the app on ur phone. It should show your computer on it, so then you click on that server, and viola! You have a new mouse. :) Hope this helps!

I thought Tiger was the problem initially too, but the requirements say 10.4 or above... of course that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Heh.

I haven't tried Air Mouse. I've wanted to for a long time, just never did it. If I can't get this one to work I'll probably buy it.

Thank you for the help! Unfortunately that's exactly what I've done. When you launch the iTouch Server app there should be a little icon pop up in your menu bar. This icon pops up on my MacBook, but won't on my mini. Without that server app running there's no way to connect my iPhone to the mini.

This is frustrating. Heh.

Just downloaded this. Works like a charm but I just took a look at Air Mouse and it looks even better!

Air Mouse has intuitive page scrolling, and a satisfying mouse button click sound.
I just tried Touch Mouse, and I couldn't scroll pages properly. It does show the text you're typing on the iPhone screen though, whereas Air Mouse doesn't.

Air Mouse for me though.

the only issues ive sort of ran into with Touch Mouse is that when changing settings in system preferences and it asks to input admin/password info it wont let me, have to use the main keyboard.
same with saving files in various apps.

It does have abit of a course scrolling feel, but for going over wifi, doesnt seem to lag much.

otherwise its a great couch surfing app.
