Yep, just move your finger around to move the mouse pointer. I used it last night on my iPad and it was great. Nice with all the screen space now. Compared to my iPhone.
I would suspect you have an option just like you do on the iPhone, you can use scrolling to move the pointer, or to ove the screen with the pointer in the middle.
There is a toggle in the settings on the iPhone at least.
It really isn't just touch what you want... One sort of moves the screen around under the mouse. It ends up working about as well though. The extra screen space is very nice though..
