I have used LogMeIn for over a year and never paid for it. You can redo the trial. I have used it to help with IT stuff on at least 6-10 computers of friends and family.
Is there something specific in a remote desktop app you need that you can't get with the trial?
i use teamviewer which is free for non commercial use, at least for the iphone and windows. are you sure its requiring a monthly fee? ive never been prompted with this, and i use it all the time.
I've used TeamViewer a lot as well and never had a problem with prompt for payment
yea, its specifically free for non-comercial use. ive used it for 12 hours straight and never had an issue. unless for some reason its different on a mac, it sounds like operator error to me.
I use it primarily on my Mac and on my iPad/iPhone from time to time as well
Never had an issue... always reminds me it is free for non-commercial use, but that's ok with me
