I don't think it was a mistake. They squeezed a couple-minute-long call into a 30-second commercial. What's wrong with that?

The point of the ad is still made. The ad wasn't about being able to cram multiple tasks and conversation into 30 seconds, but that you can use voice and data at the same time.

Exactly. Why would they purposely try to deceive with shortening call-timers? It's not the point of the commercial and it gives a honest look at the iPhone with them keeping it in there.
 
It says "sequences shortened," Chicken Little. No mistake there at all. Those apps don't work that fast because there is no light speed Internet connection yet.

I guess that you didn't notice that the Droid commercials are edited the same way. It is "sequence shortened" for your entertainment, your experience may vary. I escaped from Verizon two months ago and have missed them, not.
